Hello, I’m Nkhosi Mfaume, welcome to my world!
I have a passion for creative writing and I aspire to become a published author.
I Am proud father, brother, and friend. I’m a skilled electrical artisan, but I love crafting compelling stories, and bringing stories to life. I’m excited to share my writing journey with you, and I’m thrilled to connect with fellow creative writer, authors and book lovers and share my writing adventures with you.
Imagine a spark of creativity ignited by the hum of electrical currents, with a unique blend of technical expertise and artistic passion for writing, that’s me. I’m inspired by the world around me and I am excited to share my stories with you.

What Inspired My Writing From Young Age?
I have fond memories of watching my late father write novels every month. He’d spend hours scribbling away with his pen or typing away on his trusty typewriter. What amazed me was how quickly he could complete a novel – sometimes in as little as three days. Many people who knew his work considered him a genius, and I couldn’t help but wonder how he managed to produce such high-quality content at an incredible pace.
Whenever my siblings and I were told to stay away from the upstairs area, we knew that Daddy was in writing mode. He’d isolate himself, and the sound of his typewriter keys clacking away would fill the air. I’d often find myself thinking, “How does he do it?” The speed, the quality, the emotional depth – it all seemed so effortless.
One day, I saw my father’s novels on the shelves at The Book Lounge in Cape Town. That moment sparked something within me. I began carrying a notebook to jot down ideas, and I asked my father to write a song for me to use as a template for my own creative writing.
Two days later, he handed me a page torn from an exercise book with two verses written on it – 32 bars each. It was a broken heart song. He told me, “Study the relics, my child. Broken heart songs are perfect for practicing emotional writing.” From that day on, I was hooked on writing. I’d scribble on scraps of paper, and with the advent of smartphones, every device I owned became a repository for my writing.

That’s how I got into writing. My father’s passion, creativity, and dedication to his craft have inspired me to follow in his footsteps. I hope to make him proud and continue his legacy as a writer.
What’s My favorite writing genre and why?
I’m drawn to writing about non-fiction, history, and true-life events. I believe that sharing my knowledge and perspectives can enlighten others and provide new insights.
Non-fiction writing allows me to explore the vast unknown and shed light on overlooked aspects of reality. By sharing my discoveries, I hope to inspire others to seek knowledge and understanding..
History, in my opinion, is often presented in a way that controls the narrative and shapes our perceptions. To truly understand ourselves and our place in the world, we must uncover the hidden truths of the past. By doing so, we can break free from the constraints of manipulated history and forge a better future.
Historical events have the power to shape our perspectives and, subsequently, our reality. When we challenge our assumptions and reexamine the past, we can experience a profound shift in our understanding of the world.
Our current education system often falls short of unlocking our full potential. As human beings, we possess both physical and spiritual aspects, yet our educational approaches rarely acknowledge or nurture our spiritual selves. I believe that by integrating spiritual and physical learning, we can tap into our hidden potential and become more well-rounded individuals.
My reading preferences reflect my interests in history and personal growth. I enjoy reading about historical events, as they provide valuable lessons and insights into the human experience. Science fiction books also captivate me, as they often explore the intersection of our physical and spiritual selves, offering a glimpse into the possibilities of human evolution.
How do I balance writing with other responsibilities?
As a self-proclaimed early bird, I thrive in the quiet morning hours. Before the sun rises, I tackle my personal work, setting a productive tone for the day.

My 9-to-5 job demands a significant portion of my time, leaving limited space for personal pursuits. To compensate, I’ve cultivated a habit of rising early to work on my passion projects. This allows me to make progress on my goals without compromising my evening routine.
In the evenings, I prioritize quality time with my loved ones, cherishing the moments we share together. After a fulfilling evening, I unwind and prepare for a restful night’s sleep, ready to tackle another day.
Throughout the day, my smart devices serve as trusty companions, allowing me to jot down ideas and plot out future projects. This seamless integration of technology and creativity enables me to stay organized and focused on my goals.
What’s my current work-in-progress about?
I’m thrilled to share that I’m currently co-authoring a love novel with a talented female author, whose two titles are already making waves in stores and online.
Together, we’ve created an educational resource for aspiring writers, detailing our experiences and insights on turning creative writing into a lucrative career. The e-book will be released as soon as our platform more audience.
Stay tuned for my weekly blog posts on ( www.zikhonaj.com/blog ), where I’ll be sharing my thoughts, experiences, and expertise on writing and creativity.

Thank you for sharing your story; it is very touching and beautiful. It made me wonder why I’m not doing the same. I love writing—it’s a way to express my feelings and thoughts. I always feel like I have so much to share with the world without revealing my identity, and the only way to do that is through writing.
