I was raised in East London, Mdantsane I went to Moses Mabhida high school and obtained my degree in social work at University of Fort hare. I have been writing since I was in high school, writing has helped me to fully express myself and gained healing through the process..
I was inspired by my childhood experience, how I was raised as a child, being exposed to violence in my home and watching my mother raising us, I saw a resilient woman who have endured hardship but still rise above the struggles. I was exposed to violence at home and that encouraged me to study hard, because I believed that education was my gateway from the abuse. What inspired me most, was getting the message out there to survivors of violence to empower and to motivate them that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
